Grade 3 pure titanium was added to our line late April 2006. This grade uses the same base titanium as grade 2. The difference is in the amount of oxygen introduced and temperatures used at specific times during the foundry process. This results in pure titanium that is harder than grade 2. The extra processing at the foundry and the extra time and tooling cost to form the links at the factory resulted in, what we consider, a fairly high cost to us. We decided to have 3 of our best selling bracelets for men crafted in Cp Grade grade 3 titanium to test the results. We have elected to keep the cost to the customer the same for all 3 styles. To date we do not know if we will continue to order our stock in grade 2 or move to grade 3 as the cost per bracelet is considerable and have doubts if the current market can bear the extra cost we would have to pass on if or when we convert to all grade 3.
